There are lots of ways to buy credit with Three!

Top up online quickly and easily with Instant Top up or login to the My3 App. You can also login into your My3 Acccount and click on Topping Up for a range of top up options like low balance top ups and regular (recurring) top ups.

To top up with a voucher freetext TOPUP and your voucher code to 50272. To top up using a credit card freetext Topup, the amount and the last 4 digits of your registered card details to 50100 - eg. TOPUP 20 1234. (No need to enter the € sign). First register your card details in My3.

Call 1744 and choose the top up option. You’ll get the option to either use a card you’ve pre registered in My3 or to enter a new card. You can enter your 16-19 digit payment card number, the expiry date and csc code and choose to buy a €10, €20, €25, €30, €35, €40 or €50 top up. You can then choose to save the card for future use so you’ll only have to enter the last 4 digits the next time you want to use it. You can save up to 4 cards.

Three customers who have an AIB bank account are able to top-up,
  • When signed onto their internet banking account, in ‘Mobile Top Up’ section of
  • When dialling 0818 724 724 and choosing the ‘Top Up your mobile’ option
  • When visiting an AIB ATM
Bank of Ireland:
Three customers who have a BOI bank account are able to top-up:
  • In the ‘Money Transfer’ section of, when you select ‘Mobile Top up’.
  • At an BOI ATM.
In stores:
You can also top up with a voucher from any Three store or over 10,000 convenience stores nationwide.
If you don't buy an add-on once you’ve topped up, your internet usage will be charged per megabyte (which can be a little pricey). To get the best value, make sure you always choose an add-on. Go to My3. In My monthly allowance section, click “View and Buy Add On” and choose the add-on you want for a day, week, or month.
Every Mobile Broadband dongle or router from Three has its own unique number, just like a mobile phone. Inside your broadband device you’ll find a SIM card with its own personal number. This is your Three Mobile Broadband number and always starts with 08. You’ll need this if you want to register for and sign into My3. There are lots of places where you can find this number:
  • On your SIM holder in the left hand corner.
  • At the top of your bill if you’re a Bill Pay customer.
  • If you have a broadband device that has 3Connect software installed on your computer, open this and click ‘My3’. You’ll see your Mobile Broadband number on this screen.
  • If you’re using a tablet or iPad you’ll find it in ‘Settings > General > About’. Your number should be listed beside ‘Cellular or Mobile Data Number’.
Keep an eye on your usage to avoid going out of bundle. Even if you go over your data allowance, you may still be able to access the internet, but you’ll be charged at out of bundle rates (which can be a little pricey!).

Bill Pay customers:
To check your usage, go to My3 click on “Check your allowance and usage” in My monthly Allowance section' where you’ll be able to see your remaining data allowance. That way, you’re always in control.

Prepay customers:
To check your usage, go to My3 click on “Check your account balance in My Account Balance section” where you’ll be able to see your remaining data allowance. That way, you’re always in control.
